How to teach Five Senses
Using Five Senses Activity – Sense Quest, students play Sense Quest to practice identifying objects that are related to each of the five senses.
Understanding your five senses helps your students know more about their body. This activity builds your students awareness of the five senses.
Each player selects a colored game piece and receives a “5 Senses Category Card.” The object of the game is to try and collect one picture for each of the five senses on your category card. Roll the die and travel that many spaces on the board. Pick up one picture card from the pile. Decide which of the five senses this picture belongs to (it is possible that the picture is related to more than one sense) and place it on the category spot. If the spot is already filled on your board, place the picture card at the bottom of the pile and the next player rolls the die. The player with the most category spots filled at the end of the game wins. If a player collects all five senses before reaching the end, the game is over!
