This Dairy Time reading comprehension worksheet gives them a short original story about Bacon the pig and Wool the sheep, who watch the farmer milk Cheddar the cow and then peek in the kitchen window to find out where all that milk goes. Students read for cause and effect, follow the order of the steps, find a detail in the text, and decide what the whole story is really about.
This 3rd grade reading comprehension worksheet is built to be used in one sitting. Page one holds the illustrated story on its own, so students can read it straight through without questions crowding the page.
