A blank coordinate grid is the tool that turns abstract number pairs into something a student can actually see. This blank coordinate grid gives fifth graders a clean, generously sized first-quadrant coordinate plane, numbered 0 to 10 on both the x axis and the y axis, so every ordered pair has a clear home. Because the grid arrives empty, it works with whatever your lesson needs today — plotting points, mapping a treasure hunt, tracking a science experiment, or drawing a simple polygon from its vertices.
This coordinate plane graphing template is built to be used again and again. Students write their own heading on the Graph Title line, then follow the directions at the top: begin at the origin, count across the x axis first, and then count up the y axis. The unit squares are over half an inch wide, so points, labels, and connecting lines stay readable even when a whole class is working at once. Print one per student, slide it into a dry-erase sleeve for a math center, or project it while you model a new skill.

Hide a picture in the grid by giving a list of points to connect in order, and let students design a puzzle of their own for a classmate to solve.
