Description
This dozen donuts reading comprehension worksheet gives second grade students a short, friendly story and four questions that ask them to look back at the text for the answer. Mila saves her coins for six weeks, walks to the bakery with her dad, and asks the baker to fill a box with a dozen donuts. The order matters: chocolate first, pink with sprinkles next, glazed rings last. Then she takes the box home and starts handing donuts out.
The sheet runs three pages. Page one holds the illustrated story, page two holds the questions, and page three is the answer key. Students read the passage, fill in a bubble for each of the four multiple-choice questions, and finish by writing their own answer on the lines in Part B, using one detail from the story to show how they know. Use it for guided reading, morning work, a literacy center, homework, or a quick check on how well a student holds the order of events in their head.
