Good researchers start with a question and then go looking for facts that answer it. This locating information to answer a question worksheet walks 3rd grade students through that process step by step, from choosing a question to backing up their answer with the facts they found.
Students first write a question they want to answer on the line at the top. Next, they search books, articles, or websites and record three facts in the first box. In the second box they draw a picture of what they learned, and in the last box they write their answer and explain why they think it is right. Because children choose their own question and sources, the page works with any science or social studies topic, and every response will be unique.
