Adjectives Sort Worksheet

Adjectives are the describing words that bring a sentence to life, telling a reader how something feels, tastes, or looks. Second graders meet adjectives everywhere they read, but naming them and grouping them by what they describe takes real practice. This Adjectives Sort Worksheet gives students that practice in a clear, hands-on way. Twelve everyday describing words are waiting in a word box, and students decide whether each one names a feeling, a taste, or a size. This 2nd grade adjectives worksheet is designed to be finished in one sitting. Students read the twelve words in the box at the top of the page, think about what each word describes, and write it on a line in the matching column.
