Pictures can help your audience understand your message even better. This activity will help your students to develop pictures that will improve their presentation.
Students use graphic organizer to sketch visual displays to enhance the development of main ideas. Then, students explain the importance of each picture.

Introduce this activity by students a passage without pictures. Next, students share examples of pictures that would make the passage more interesting and helpful. Then, distribute the activity materials so students can begin their writing. As students work, circulate to support students brainstorm pictures to include. Challenge students to explain why they chose each picture. Finally, students give feedback on their writing presentations. Once finished, students can share their writing through a gallery walk or other presentation.
