Use this SL.1.4 First Grade Common Core Activity as an additional resource for your students.
Introduce this lesson by showing your students a picture of a landscape that has lots of details. Ask students to share objects that they see in the picture. Then, students practice matching clues to the correct picture. They can work independently or with a partner. Once students finish, challenge them to create their own description of people, places, or things.
