How to teach Telling Time
Using this Prime Time Telling Time Activity, students play “I Have, Who Has?” to practice reading time to the hour on both analog and digital clocks.
Your students need lots of practice telling time on an analog clock. This activity gives your students the opportunity to practice in a fun way.
Select a set of clocks to play with (either analog or digital) and all of the cards out to players. The object of the game is to correctly read the time on each clock. The player with 12 o’clock begins the game by standing and reading the card. Read the time on the card by saying ‚ÄúI have __ o’clock. Who has __ o’clock? The player who has that card stands up and reads their card. Play continues until the last card has been read and no more questions (Who has ____?) can be asked.
