Blends, Digraphs, and Trigraphs Activity

Blends, Digraphs, and Trigraphs Activity

How to teach Beginning Consonants

Using the Blends, Digraphs, and Trigraphs Activity, students create lists of words that have beginning and ending blends, digraphs, or trigraphs.

Being able to identify the beginning blends helps students read and write words. This activity gives them practice using common words that they will encounter in their reading.

Students hunt for words that have examples of beginning and ending blends, digraphs, or trigraphs.
