Description
Water, wood and a window all come together in the Letter W Game, a sunny felt-board farm for preschool kids. Funzy cheers kids on as they get water from the well with the big letter W, put wood in the wagon with the little w, and look out the farmhouse window to find the pictures that start with W. When a child taps the big W well, the crank creaks and up comes a bucket full of sparkling, splashing water! Playing the letter w game again and again helps little learners recognize the big W and the little w, tell W apart from look-alike letters like M and V, and hear that watermelon, worm, web and watch all start with W.
In this letter w phonics game, Funzy guides kids through three rounds. First they find the big W among letters like M, V and N, with the tip that big W goes down, up, down, up, like two pointy valleys (M has its points on top). Then they find the little w among look-alikes like m, v and u, with the tip that little w is a small zigzag (little v has just one valley). Last, kids look out the big farmhouse window at three pictures on the meadow and tap the one that starts with W, like the worm, watermelon, web or watch, to watch it bounce for joy. The letters and pictures a child mixed up come back for one more try. Funzy reads every direction out loud, names each answer (“Worm! Worm starts with the letter W.”) and gives a kind hint after a wrong choice.
Kids build streaks of 3, 5 and 10 in a Row, chase a High Score and go for a Perfect Game, and every round ends with a badge celebration. A golden surprise can sparkle once a round. At the end, kids earn up to five stars.
