Description
How to teach Story Elements
Using Describe Characters and Setting Activity, students explain how specific aspects of a text’s illustrations contribute to what is conveyed by the words in a story.
Story Elements are the most important pieces of a book. Being able to determine the story elements of a book will help your students build reading comprehension.
Students will read “A Day at the Beach” and draw pictures of the setting and characters based on words in the story. Then, students can continue to practice this skill as they read any text with this graphic organizer.
