How to teach Sound
Using Sound Pitch Worksheet, students read the descriptions of the strings and write whether the pitch created would be high or low.
Pitch is created by sound waves. Pitch can be low, or high. One note can be
sung at a low pitch and then a high pitch. Pitch depends on the frequency of the sound waves. More waves will equal a higher pitch. Less waves, a lower pitch.
Read the descriptions of the strings. Next, compare each set. Then, write whether the pitch created would be high or low.

Use this Sound Volume Worksheet as an additional resource for your students.
Introduce this worksheet by playing different sounds. Next, students guess what is making that sound and explains how they figured it out. Then, students complete worksheet independently or with a partner. Finally, students test other items in the classroom to figure out what sound it makes. Challenge students to find objects that make similar sounds and build connections about why the sounds are the same.
