How to teach Adverbs

Using this Circle & Underline Adverb Worksheet, students read ten sentences and circle examples of adverbs.

Adverbs describe the action that is happening. This adverb worksheet is a perfect introduction to adverbs, so that students can clearly understand and find examples of an adverb.

First, read the sentences. Then, circle the adverb in the sentence. Once you have found the adverb, write it on the line provided. Challenge yourself to continue your practice with adverbs by choosing 2-3 sentences to draw an example of the adverb describing the verb.
