Retelling a familiar text with its most important details is an early comprehension skill, and The Itsy Bitsy Spider Graphic Organizer Worksheet turns that retelling into a clear, step-by-step page children can complete on their own.
Students think about the rhyme, then use a word bank to finish five sentences. The top box asks what the whole rhyme is about, and a line of four numbered key details follows the story from beginning to end: the spider climbs the spout, the rain washes it out, the sun dries the rain, and the spider climbs again. Printed answer boxes give young writers plenty of room, and one extra word in the bank keeps children reading each sentence carefully instead of guessing.
