How to teach Beginning Consonants
Using the Beginning Sounds Q R S Worksheet – Pictures, students use the pictures to decide if the beginning sound is a Q, R, or S.
Being able to identify the beginning sounds helps students read and write words. This activity gives them practice using common words that they will encounter in their reading.
This activity has nine picture. Students say the word aloud that matches the picture. Then, students sound out the beginning sound. Finally, students write the letter that matches the sound that they said.
