How to teach Sequencing

Using Brushing Your Teeth Sequencing Activity, students retell a story about brushing your teeth and put the events in order based on the story.

Being able determine the summarize text that you are reading helps your students understand what they have read. This activity will help your students organize their thoughts as they read.

Read the short story about how to brush teeth.  Next, retell the story using words, props, or pictures. Then, use the organization cards to introduce the transition words First, Next, Then, and Last.
